1. Our Philosophy

LovingMe is built on a simple belief: your innermost thoughts deserve complete privacy. We designed this app so that your data stays yours — on your device, under your control, always.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data.

LovingMe does not require an account, email address, phone number, or any form of registration. You can use every feature of the app without providing any personal information.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your device only:

• Journal entries and story reflections — your written responses to prompts
• Feelings check-ins — your selected emotions and notes
• Acts of love reflections — your responses to self-care activities
• App preferences — your chosen settings (notification times, display preferences)
• Streak and progress data — your check-in history and milestone achievements

This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. It exists solely on your device. If you delete the app, this data is permanently deleted.

4. LovingUs (Conversation Cards Game)

When you play LovingUs:

• Solo/Table Mode: The game runs entirely on your device. No data is sent anywhere.
• Web Version (lovingme.app/play): The web game runs entirely in your browser. No data is stored on our servers. No cookies are used. Questions are loaded once and run locally.

5. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app uses a local smart scheduling algorithm to suggest the best time for your daily reflection. This timing data is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

6. Third-Party Services

LovingMe does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, Firebase Analytics, or any similar tools.

The only third-party services involved are:

• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Used for app distribution. Apple and Google may collect their own data as described in their respective privacy policies. We do not have access to any data they collect.
• Google Fonts (web only): The landing page and web game load fonts from Google Fonts. Google's privacy policy applies to this request.

7. Children's Privacy

LovingMe does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we do not collect personal data from any user, no special provisions are needed. The Family mode in LovingUs is designed to be appropriate for all ages.

8. Data Sharing

We do not share any data with any third party. Since we don't collect data, there is nothing to share, sell, or transfer.

9. Data Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (device passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, biometric lock, etc.). Since data never leaves your device, there is no risk of server-side data breaches.

10. Data Backup and Portability

Your LovingMe data is included in your device's standard backup (iCloud Backup for iOS, Google Backup for Android). These backups are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies. We do not have access to your backups.

11. Your Rights

Since all data stays on your device:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times
• Deletion: Deleting the app removes all data permanently
• Portability: Your data lives in your device backups
• Correction: You can edit your entries at any time within the app

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we don't have your contact information (by design), we encourage you to review this page periodically. Any changes will also be noted in the app's update notes on the App Store and Google Play.
